Rock-like forms covered in textured volcanic glaze support a stack of ruffled unglazed porcelain sheets. Amorphous drips of gold sit on top and from within the sheets oozing slowly.

Heavy Matter is a reference to the many standing stones across the world in which we place spiritual meaning and often use for emotional release and connection. Our human existence is fluid, messy and often overwhelming. We seek meaning, understanding and purpose through rituals and connection.

The form itself is a series of connections between each of the elements which support one another while visually enhancing their differing qualities. Rough volcanic glaze supporting a delicate stack of porcelain and a resting place for big drips of shiny gold representing all that released emotion.
