Cathartic practices of releasing emotions and historic tribal or ancestral connections have inspired this piece. The rough rock-like form covered in markings is the base for an elegant, yet potentially menacing form. It is up to the viewer to decide. The paper-like stack references human offerings, votives or prayers at a place of connection to relieve the spirit and free ourselves of burdens carried.
